Barry D. Greene, Esquire

Mr. Greene is the President, Treasurer and sole shareholder of Portnoy and Greene, P.C. He was admitted to the Bar of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1973. He is a 1969 graduate of Boston College with a major in Finance and Accounting; and a 1972 graduate of New England School of Law. For the last thirty five years Mr. Greene has been active in most areas of the law, including civil litigation encompassing a wide variety of matters ranging from personal injury litigation to business litigation including employment law. Mr. Greene has tried cases in the superior and district courts and administrative agencies of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. He has successfully argued appeals before the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Mr. Greene has had considerable experience in representing foreclosing lenders and negotiating loan workouts with borrowers involving real estate and non real estate loans together with representing debtors and creditors before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Mr. Greene has acted as general counsel to many lenders in various regulatory matters, including the Massachusetts Banking Commission, the FDIC, and several other state administrative agencies. Mr. Greene has published numerous articles in the area of estate planning, deferred tax exchanges, and real estate.
Mr. Greene is responsible for all of the operational functions of the Firm as the managing partner.

Mr. Greene was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in January, 2001. He joined the Firm as an associate at that time. He was also admitted to the New Hampshire Bar in May, 2001. Prior to his admission to the Bar, he worked for the Firm as a law clerk since 1997. Mr. Greene currently works in the real estate and litigation departments of the firm. Mr. Greene has closed in excess of two thousand residential real estate transactions. Mr. Greene is currently assigned to oversee the real estate department at the Firm. He is a 1997 graduate of McGill University and a graduate of Suffolk University Law School, class of 2000, graduating within the top five percent of his class. Mr. Greene was a member of Suffolk Transnational Law Review. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Greene worked as a real estate title examiner. Mr. Greene also works in The Firm’s litigation department.
Joseph Anderson, Esquire
Mr. Anderson joined the Firm in July, 2001 as a real estate attorney. Mr. Anderson is a 2000 graduate of Seton Hall Law School and a 1997 graduate of Wake Forest University. Mr. Anderson is currently a senior residential conveyancing attorney responsible for closing residential loans.
Suzanne Brunelle, Esquire

Ms. Brunelle joined the Firm in 1991 as both a paralegal and law clerk. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Rivier College, and is a 1992 graduate of Suffolk University School of Law. She was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in November, 1992 and has been an associate of the Firm ever since that time. Prior to becoming an attorney she was a paralegal since 1986 and had developed significant title and real estate experience in conveyancing and foreclosures. She is thoroughly familiar with all aspects of residential and commercial real estate, and foreclosures in both Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire She currently oversees the production of our title examinations by supervising the Firm’s title department. She also manages the Firm’s foreclosure department and commercial real estate conveyancing functions. Ms. Brunelle is also a member of the New Hampshire Bar and is headquartered in our Londonderry, NH office.
Staci Cerrato-Melo, Esquire

Ms. Melo has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar and New Jersey Bar since 1993. Ms. Melo heads our National Other Real Estate Owned Department. The Firm maintains a practice of representing lenders in various states whereby we coordinate the sale of bank owned real estate in many states.
Paul Manning, Esquire

Mr. Manning has been a member of the Massachusetts and Rhode Island bars since 2004. Mr. Manning is employed at the Firm as a litigation attorney in virtually all areas of the Firm’s litigation practice. Mr. Manning has had extensive experience in bankruptcy matters along with foreclosure and eviction experience in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Scott Wrenn

Mr. Wrenn has been a member of the Massachusetts bar since 2005 and joined the Firm as an associate in the real estate conveyancing department. Prior to that Mr. Wrenn interned with the firm and was responsible for handling and resolving title issues, post closing issues and preparing HUD settlement statements. As a closing attorney Mr. Wrenn has closed in excess of 2,000 purchase and refinance commercial and residential transactions. Mr. Wrenn is currently running a satellite office of the Firm in Worcester, Massachusetts. working on a myriad of issues from Buyer/ Seller representations, foreclosures, evictions, and bank owned real estate sales. Mr. Wrenn is a member of the Massachusetts and Worcester County Bar Associations and Rotary Club of Auburn.
